Baseball World Cup The United States took home the gold medal in the 2009 Baseball World Cup with its 10-5 victory over Cuba on Sunday. First baseman Justin Smoak was 1-for-5 with a run batted in, and he earned Most Valuable Player honors for the tournament. Entering Sunday's Gold Medal Game, Smoak was batting .300 with two doubles, nine home runs, and 21 RBI's. He walked 12 times in 13 contests...
