LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Although Nick Martinez was primarily an infielder in college, the Texas Rangers selected him in last year's draft and put him on the mound full time. The 22-year-old prospect has pitched his first full pro season at Single-A Hickory, and Lone Star Dugout has video from one of Martinez's recent starts.

Playing his first full professional season, right-hander Nick Martinez has posted a 4.47 ERA in 28 games (17 starts) with Single-A Hickory.
