The Hickory Crawdads earned a come-from-behind victory on Friday night while Frisco finished off a sweep of Northwest Arkansas. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

AAA: Oklahoma City 2 - (@) New Orleans 3 (10 innings)
L - Ramirez (3-1)
HR - Boggs (6), Saltalamacchia (5)
26-21, 0.5 GU

Less than 24 hours after completing a doubleheader in Tacoma, the RedHawks played an extra-innings affair in New Orleans.

Starting pitcher Omar Beltre (3.04 ERA/.250 BAA) worked a season-high five scoreless innings on 61 pitches. He scattered five singles while walking zero and striking out five.

Beltre’s inning and pitch totals have risen in each of his three starts, and it appears that the Rangers may be stretching the 28-year-old back into a full-time starting role.

Reliever Alexi Ogando had his first real struggles in Triple-A, as he needed 30 pitches to complete one inning. Ogando, who threw only 15 strikes, walked three batters and allowed two runs. He struck out two.

Pedro Strop (1.74 ERA/.184 BAA) continued to be incredibly efficient, as he fanned four in two scoreless innings. Strop gave up one hit and issued one intentional walk.

Strop has surrendered just one hit in 11 innings over his last six appearances.

OKC’s two runs came on solo homers from centerfielder Brandon Boggs (1/5, HR) and catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia (1/4, HR).

Right fielder Mitch Moreland (.260/.333/.425) posted his second consecutive three-hit game, going 3-for-4 with his 13th double.

Shortstop Gregorio Petit singled twice and stole his seventh base of the year.

AA: Frisco 3 – Northwest Arkansas 1
W - Bleier (3-4)
SV - Madrigal (1)
28-19, 4.0 GU

Frisco finished off an impressive series sweep of Northwest Arkansas on Friday evening to improve to nine games above .500.

Left-hander Richard Bleier (4.91 ERA/.261 BAA) continued rolling, as he posted his third consecutive quality start and the fourth in his last five outings.

The 23-year-old surrendered one run on four hits over six innings, walking two and fanning a season-high six.

Catcher Elio Sarmiento’s (1/3, 3B) second triple of the season was Frisco’s only extra-base hit.

Renny Osuna (1/3, HBP), Matt Lawson (1/2, BB, HBP), Emerson Frostad (2/4) and Joey Butler (1/2, 2 BB) all reached multiple times.

Designated hitter Taylor Teagarden struck out in all three of his plate appearances.

In 13 games with the ‘Riders, Teagarden is 15-for-48 [.313] with seven walks and 18 strikeouts.

After walking the bases loaded in his last appearance, righty Warner Madrigal needed only 23 pitches to complete two scoreless innings on Friday. He walked one and struck out two.

A+: Bakersfield 2 - (@) Inland Empire 6
L - Boscan (2-7)
19-27, 9.5 GB

Bakersfield dropped to last place in the Cal League’s Northern Division after Friday’s loss in San Bernardino.

The good news from the game is that third baseman Tom Mendonca (.221/.283/.324) appears to be heating up a bit. He was 2-for-3 with a double on Friday and is now 4-for-9 with two doubles and a homer over his last three contests.

Shortstop Andres James, who singled twice, was the only other Bakersfield player to record multiple hits.

Starter Wilfredo Boscan was knocked around the yard once again, as he coughed up five runs on 10 hits in four innings. Boscan has given up an incredible 29 hits over his last three starts.

Sinkerballing righty Kennil Gomez returned from the disabled list and came out of the bullpen, where he gave up one solo home run in three innings of work. Gomez walked only one, but he also threw a wild pitch and hit a batter.

Shane Zegarac struck out one in a scoreless eighth, lowering his ERA to 2.08.

A: Hickory 6 - (@) West Virginia 5 (10 innings)
W - Ocampo (2-0)
SV - Hurley (5)
31-18, 4.5 GU

With Friday’s victory, Hickory improved to 18-8 in the month of May, and they’ve now won eight of their last 10 contests.

Starter Robbie Erlin (0.52 ERA/.155 BAA) appeared human for a day, but he was still solid. The 19-year-old lefty allowed a run on two hits over four innings. He walked two and struck out four.

Hard-throwing lefty Miguel De Los Santos yielded two runs in two innings. He walked one and fanned three.

Catcher Zach Zaneski is more known for his excellent glove than his bat, but he keeps getting it done at the plate. The University of Rhode Island product was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three runs batted in. He is batting .444 in 13 games this season.

Corner infielders Michael Ortiz (2/4, 2B) and Matt West (1/5, 2B) also doubled and drove home one run.

Centerfielder Miguel Velazquez singled twice and stole his ninth base of the season.

Relievers Kyle Ocampo and Trevor Hurley finished out the game with a pair of perfect innings. Ocampo earned his second victory while Hurley picked up his fifth save.
