After a whole bunch of Rangers got into Tuesday's game, only Brennan Garr played for Surprise on Wednesday.

Garr was impressive, though, pitching 1.1 perfect innings and striking out one.

The right-hander threw 17 pitches [nine strikes], and his fastball ranged between 88-91 mph. Garr's low-80s split-changeup has continued to develop during the Fall League season thus far. He threw it three times on Wednesday, getting a groundout to first base and two swinging strikes.

Guasave catcher Jose Felix appeared as a defensive replacement, but he didn't get a plate appearance.

Venezuelan Winter League

Catcher Max Ramirez was 1-for-2 with a double and a run batted in. Although Ramirez is hitting just .226 through his first 53 at-bats, his .453 slugging percentage is a promising figure.

David Paisano and Renny Osuna both saw action as pinch runners for La Guaira.

Right-hander Jorge Quintero got knocked around, as he gave up three runs on two hits and two walks without recording an out.

There wasn't much pitching at all in the La Guaira/Margarita game, as the final score was 18-17 in nine innings.

Dominican Winter League

Este designated hitter Esteban German appeared in his first game of the season, going 1-for-5 with a double.
