It's hard to believe Oklahoma City was recently right in the thick of a playoff race just a couple of weeks ago. The team has gone 5-16 in its last 21 games.

Left-hander Chris Cooper got the start, yielding four runs (three earned) on seven hits in 4.1 innings. He walked zero and struck out three.

DH Justin Leone provided all of the RedHawks' offense with his three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning.

Adam Fox doubled once in three at-bats.

Casey Benjamin (2/3, BB) reached base three times.

Left fielder Jared Bolden had one single in three trips.

In 107 games with Single-A Hickory, Bolden batted just .238 with one home run.

In four games at Triple-A Oklahoma City, the 22-year-old is 4-for-12 with a round-tripper.

Third baseman Jonathan Greene went 2-for-4 with a solo shot, his fourth at Double-A.

HR - Gomez (28), Bianucci (13)
39-29, 10.0 GB

Once again, there were plenty of stars in an impressive Bakersfield victory.

Starting pitcher Tanner Roark (2.70 ERA/.217 BAA) improved to 10-0 with the Blaze this season after seven pitching seven scoreless innings. He yielded five hits while walking one and striking out eleven.

Roark set a career high with seven innings pitched on August 20. Since that start, he has pitched seven frames in three of four outings.

DH Mauro Gomez (.288/.336/.542) had another monstrous night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and six runs batted in. The home run was, of course, a grand slam.

Gomez has 11 RBI's in his last two games, giving him 93 on the season.

Left fielder Mike Bianucci smacked a solo home run in four at-bats.

Tom Mendonca (2/3, 2B, BB) and David Paisano (1/4, 2B) both doubled.

Reliever Tyler Tufts fanned two batters in a perfect ninth inning.
