The Spokane Indians lost on Monday evening, but they got solid performances from outfielder Miguel Velazquez and starter Robbie Ross. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

Brandon McCarthy’s rehab starts continue to improve as he gets accustomed to his new mechanics and gets more time under his belt.

The right-hander allowed just one run on four hits in 4.2 innings, walking one and striking out five. He threw 73 pitches in the outing.

The RedHawks bullpen played a huge role in their sixth consecutive victory.

Josh Rupe (2.1 IP), Mike Hinckley (0.2 IP), Willie Eyre (2.1 IP) and Brian Gordon (1 IP) all worked scoreless relief.

Oklahoma City managed just one hit in six innings against Salt Lake starter and minor league veteran Mike MacDonald, but they were able to get two runs off the bullpen.

In his second game back, catcher Max Ramirez was 0-for-3 with a base on balls.

Making his first rehab appearance, right fielder Nelson Cruz was 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.

Greg Golson (1/4, 2B) doubled.

Joaquin Arias (1/4, BB), Justin Smoak (0/3, 2 BB) and Jose Vallejo (2/5) all reached base twice.

Oklahoma City won on a walkoff on Monday, but Frisco lost on one.

?Starter Mike Ballard turned in a strong effort, surrendering just one run in seven innings. He scattered seven hits and, although he fanned just one, the lefty didn’t walk a batter.

First baseman Chad Tracy (.362/.400/.710 in August) provided Frisco’s only run with a solo homer. It was his sixth round-tripper of the month and his second in as many nights.

Craig Gentry singled, walked, and stole his 45th base.

Dustin Majewski (1/4), John Whittleman (1/3), and Steve Murphy (1/3) had the team’s other hits.

Powerful left fielder Cristian Santana was 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run.

Erik Morrison (1/4, 2B), Jared Bolden (1/3, 2B) and Eric Fry (1/4, 2B) also doubled.

Leadoff man Cody Podraza singled twice and walked once.

Starter Robbie Ross allowed just two unearned runs on five hits in five innings pitched. He fanned four without walking a batter.

Centerfielder Miguel Velazquez was 2-for-4 with a double, a solo homer, and a walk.

Tom Mendonca (1/4, 2B) and Zach Zaneski (2/4, 2B) both doubled.

Right fielder Jared Prince singled three times, bringing his batting average up to .293.

Pitching in his first-ever professional game outside of Arizona, right-hander Bobby Wilkins fanned two in a scoreless inning. He allowed one hit.
