The Spokane Indians won yet again on Wednesday, behind a three homer effort from third baseman Tom Mendonca. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

The RedHawks got off to a rough start early on, when Elizardo Ramirez surrendered seven runs on nine hits in just four innings of work.

Left fielder Brandon Boggs (.285/.406/.418) was 1-for-3 with a double and a base on balls.

Royce Huffman (2/4), Chris Davis (1/4) and Justin Smoak (1/4) had Oklahoma City’s other four hits.

Mike Hinckley (2 IP), Beau Vaughan (1 IP) and A.J. Murray (1 IP) all tossed scoreless relief.

Omar Poveda had a very rare bout with control, throwing just 38 strikes out of 72 pitches. He walked three batters and allowed four runs on five hits in 2.2 innings. On the bright side, Poveda fanned four.

Clayton Hamilton returned to Frisco and pitched a scoreless inning.

First baseman Chad Tracy was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three runs batted in.

Mitch Moreland (3/4, BB) and Dustin Majewski (3/5) both singled three times.

Craig Gentry singled twice in four at-bats. He stole his 39th base of the year.

Hard-throwing righty Pedro Strop was excellent out of the bullpen, hurling 2.1 hitless innings, walking one, and striking out two.

Zach Phillips earned the save after he retired both batters he faced, punching out one.

Even after a late comeback, the Blaze lost when the potential go-ahead run was held at third after a Mike Bianucci line drive nailed an umpire between shortstop and second base, keeping the ball in the infield.

Starter Kennil Gomez allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings. He walked two and punched out six.

Modesto starter Christian Friedrich, the Rockies’ first-round pick in 2008, fanned 10 batters in 5.2 innings. He gave up two unearned runs.

First baseman Mauro Gomez was 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and three runs batted in. His round-tripper was a rare opposite field shot.

Jonathan Greene (1/3, BB) singled, walked, and knocked in two runs.

Matt Lawson (2/4, 2 2B) doubled twice while Jose Feliz (1/4, 2B) had one double.

Joe Wieland gave up three runs and scattered nine hits over six innings. Although he struck out just one, the right-hander walked one and got 12 groundouts versus four flyouts.

Erik Morrison provided the offense, going 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Cody Podraza (2/4) singled twice while Leury Garcia (1/3, BB) singled once, walked once, and stole his 14th base in 18 tries.

Spokane took its sixth in a row with yet another victory over Salem-Keizer on Wednesday.

Tom Mendonca had a night to remember, blasting three solo home runs in four at-bats.

Miguel Velazquez (1/4, HR) also went yard.

Starting pitcher Trevor Hurley tossed six shutout innings, allowing five hits, walking two, and striking out three.

Starting pitcher Carlos Melo had a decent effort, giving up two runs on six hits over 4.1 innings. He walked one and struck out three.

Shane Zegarac suffered the loss despite yielding just an unearned run in 3.2 innings. He gave up two hits and fanned four without issuing a free pass.

DH Tomas Telis (1/4, 3B) tripled for the AZL Rangers’ only extra-base hit.

Right fielder Guillermo Pimentel singled one and walked twice in four plate appearances.
