The Frisco RoughRiders got an excellent start from lefty Kasey Kiker, but they weren't able to hold the lead in the ninth. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

The RedHawks scored 12 runs on 13 hits on Sunday, and the production was balanced throughout the lineup. All nine of OKC's starters got at least one hit in the game.

Starting pitcher Luis Mendoza hurled four scoreless innings to start the game.

Orlando Hernandez came on in relief and surrendered a solo home run in one inning. He struck out one.

Neftali Feliz followed with 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up one hit, walking one, and striking out one.

Leadoff man Julio Borbon was 1-for-5 with a home run and a walk.

Joaquin Arias (1/6, 2B) and Casey Benjamin (2/5, 2B) both doubled>

Esteban German (2/4, BB), Max Ramirez (2/4, BB) and Royce Huffman (2/5) all singled multiple times.

Relief pitchers Clayton Hamilton (1.1 IP) and Brian Gordon (1 IP) closed out the game with scoreless relief efforts.

Kasey Kiker (3.00 ERA/.232 BAA) has run into trouble with walks and high pitch counts at times recently, but he's fixed that issue in his last two starts.

After walking just one in seven innings on June 23, Kiker didn't issue a free pass in six shutout innings on Sunday. He gave up four hits and struck out six.

The RoughRiders offense got 14 hits, but they scratched across just four runs, leaving 10 men on base.

Craig Gentry (2/5, 2B), Mitch Moreland (2/5, 2B), Tim Smith (3/4, 2B, BB), Dustin Majewski (1/3, 2B, BB) and Marcus Lemon (1/4, 2B) all doubled.

John Whittleman singled twice in four at-bats, giving him his second consecutive multi-hit effort.

First baseman Justin Smoak had two singles in five trips.

Frisco entered the ninth inning with a 3-0 lead, but they gave it up when John Bannister surrendered five earned runs in just one-third of an inning. He was pitching for the second consecutive day.

Tim Murphy (2.18 ERA/.273 BAA in June) pitched at least seven innings for the third consecutive start. The 22-year-old went 7.1 innings, giving up just one unearned run on six hits. He walked five and struck out five.

First baseman Ian Gac (.228/.286/.447) was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Jonathan Greene (2/4, 3B) tripled while Joey BUtler (1/4, 2B) hit his 11th double.

Evan Reed struck out the only batter he faced to earn his tenth save.

Jake Brigham's slump continued on Sunday, as he yielded seven runs on 11 hits in 4.2 innings. Brigham didn't walk a batter and he didn't record a strikeout.

Matt West (2/4, 2B), David Paisano (1/5, 2B) and Michael Hollander (1/4, 2B) all doubled.

Cody Eppley (2.1 IP) and Tyler Tufts (2 IP) combined for 4.1 innings of scoreless relief.

The Rangers' affiliates didn't have much luck in the late innings on Sunday. In Spokane, the Indians gave up five runs in the tenth inning.

Starter Trevor Hurley had a rough night, giving up five runs in 3.1 innings.

Aja Barto (.321/.472/.714 in 28 at-bats) was 2-for-5 with a home run and four runs batted in.

Centerfielder Kyle Rhoad singled twice and drove home one run.

Left-hander Shane Zagarac pitched two shutout innings, giving up four hits and striking out two.

Closer Chris Matlock surrendered five runs in 2.1 innings.
