Robbie Ross had an excellent professional debut on Saturday, striking out nine batters for the Spokane Indians. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

Bryan Corey (4.81 ERA/.309 BAA) gave the RedHawks seven innings for the second consecutive start. He allowed four runs on eight hits, walking none and fanning four.

DH Joaquin Arias singled four times and stole two bases, giving him 13 steals on the season.

First baseman Emerson Frostad had three singles in four at-bats.

Greg Golson (2/4, 2B) hit his ninth double.

Catcher Max Ramirez was 1-for-5 with a game-winning walkoff homer with two outs in the ninth inning.

Willie Eyre and Brian Gordon both pitched scoreless innings to finish the game off.

Blake Beavan's first professional start in the Metroplex was a complete success.

The tall right-hander pitched seven innings on 99 pitches (throwing 73 strikes). He gave up one run on six hits, walking one and striking out four.

DH Chad Tracy (1/3, 2B, BB) had the team's only extra-base hit.

Second baseman Marcus Lemon singled three times in three at-bats.

Joseph Torres fanned two in two shutout frames to earn his first victory of the season.

Tim Murphy (2.81 ERA/.282 BAA in June) may finally be turning it around.

The left-hander went seven innings for the second straight outing on Saturday. He allowed seven hits, but limited Visalia to just one run. He walked one and struck out three.

Murphy has issued just three walks in 25.2 June innings.

Right fielder Joey Butler was 1-for-4 with his tenth double of the season.

Matt Lawson raised his average to .294 with two singles in three at-bats.

Ryan Falcon and Evan Reed closed it out with scoreless innings.

David Paisano has been red hot ever since returning from the disabled list.

The leadoff hitter put together his third-straight multi-hit performance on Saturday, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in.

Second baseman Michael Hollander (3/4, 2B) also doubled twice.

Andres James (1/4, 3B, BB) tripled while Carlos Dominguez (1/4, 2B) and Matt West (3/5, 2B) both doubled once.

Starting pitcher Wilmer Font gave up two runs on five hits over five innings, walking one and striking out four.

Mark Hamburger got his first save after giving up one run in four frames.

Robbie Ross, the Rangers' second-round pick in the 2008 MLB Draft, was outstanding in his first official professional start on Saturday. He gave up two runs over five innings, walking none and striking out nine.

Right fielder Aja Barto batted cleanup and went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Miguel Alfonzo (1/3, 2B, BB), Emmanuel Solis (1/4, 2B) and Clark Murphy (2/4, 2B) all doubled.

The Rangers had four newcomers [Danny Lima, Vin DiFazio, Jared Prince, and Denny Duron] in the lineup. They combined to go 0-for-13.

John Slusarz pitched a scoreless inning, striking out one.

Braden Tullis allowed one run in two innings, walking none and fanning two.

Sidearming closer Chris Matlock fanned one in a scoreless ninth to pick up his first professional save.

The out distribution for the Spokane pitching staff on Saturday: 13 strikeouts, 11 groundouts, 3 flyouts.

The DSL Rangers1 rid themselves of a ten-game losing streak on Saturday.

Left-handed starter Pedro Tirado gave up one run on three hits in 4.2 innings.

Designated hitter Jose Mateo doubled three times in four at-bats. He also walked once.

Edward Ceballo (2/5, 2 2B) doubled twice while Miguel Montes De Oca (1/5, 2B, BB) and Luis Villegas (3/5, 2B) had one double apiece.

Seven of the Rangers' 14 hits went for two bases.

Catcher Gilberto Guarucano had four singles in five at-bats, driving in three runs.
