Madrigal is pitching well for OKC

The Oklahoma City RedHawks finished off a four-game sweep of the Portland Beavers on Friday evening. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

Luis Mendoza walked five batters in four innings, but he allowed just three hits, leading to one Portland run.

Bryan Corey did an excellent job in long relief, surrendering one run on one hit over three innings.

The top of the order got the job done for the RedHawks.

Leadoff man Julio Borbon was 3-for-4 with a double. Second hitter Joaquin Arias went 2-for-4 with a double. Esteban German, playing in the three-hole, was 1-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in.

Centerfielder Brandon Boggs had two singles in four at-bats.

Warner Madrigal (1.65 ERA/.164 BAA) pitched a scoreless inning, striking out two batters. He has 10 punchouts over his last five innings.

Clayton Hamilton notched his longest outing of the season, throwing 76 pitches and giving up six runs -- five earned -- in five innings. He allowed nine hits, walked none, and fanned three.

Catcher Manny Pina (.400/.452/.600) belted his fifth home run of the year, a solo shot to left field.

Third baseman Adam Fox, who was 2-for-3, was the only RoughRider to record multiple hits.

Marcus Lemon singled one and walked once in four trips.

Kennil Gomez struck out five batters in five innings without recording a walk. He also got eight groundouts versus just two flyouts. But the right-hander surrendered six runs on six hits. He also plunked six batters. Four of the hit batsmen came on 0-2 pitches.

DH Ian Gac (1/3, HR) and second baseman Matt Lawson (1/2, HR, BB) both hit home runs.

Left fielder Jonathan Greene was 1-for-4 with his fifth double of the season.

Tanner Roark struck out three in two scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 2.37.

Jake Brigham had trouble for the second consecutive start on Friday, giving up five runs -- three earned -- in four innings. He walked one and struck out six batters.

Martin Perez (2.84 ERA/.191 BAA) followed with another strong outing, as he allowed two runs in five innings. The southpaw gave up four hits while walking one and striking out five.

Leadoff hitter David Paisano posted another multi-hit game, going 3-for-6 with his sixth double of the season.

Jake Kaase (3/6, 3B) and Matt West (1/4, 3B) both tripled. The three-bagger was Kaase's fourth of the season.

Catcher Doug Hogan tagged his fifth home run of the season in the second inning.

Clark Murphy (1/5, 2B) belted his sixth double.

Left-hander Glenn Swanson walked two batters in 1.2 innings, but he allowed no runs on no hits, striking out two.
