John Whittleman got his Arizona Fall League campaign off to a quick start on Wednesday, as he hit a three-run homer in his first at-bat. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at the day's Fall League action.

John Whittleman gave Surprise an early lead with his three-run homer in the second inning. The round-tripper came in his first Arizona Fall League at-bat. The third baseman finished the day going 1-for-4 with an error.

Left-handed reliever Beau Jones also chipped in by surrendering one unearned run in two strong innings. Of the seven batters he faced, only one was able to get the ball out of the infield.
