The playoff-bound RedHawks dropped their final game of the regular season on Monday, but Mike Ballard turned in another solid effort.

The left-hander threw just 57 pitches in five innings, allowing one run on two hits. He fanned four without walking a batter.

Although Ballard did have some struggles after being promoted to Triple-A, he surrendered only one run on four hits in 10 innings over his final two starts of the season.

Casey Benjamin (2/5, HR) and John Mayberry (1/4, HR) both hit solo home runs. The round-tripper was Mayberry's 20th of the season between Double-A and Triple-A.

Travis Metcalf (1/3, BB) and Jason Ellison (0/2, 2 BB) both reached base twice.
