All five of the Rangers' affiliates that were in action on Friday got outstanding performances from their starting pitching. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

AAA: Oklahoma 0 – (@) Memphis 1
L – Lee (0-3)

Derek Lee was sharp in his first appearance since August 5, but the RedHawks offense was unable to plate any runs against Memphis.

Lee went six innings, allowing only one run on six hits. He struck out two while walking one.

Relievers Kea Kometani and Kiko Calero both threw scoreless innings.

Casey Benjamin (1/4), Ryan Roberts (1/4), Max Ramirez (1/3) and John Mayberry (1/3) all singled to combine for OKC’s four hits.

Frisco’s Neftali Feliz was another hard-luck loser on Friday. The fireballing righty yielded two runs – one earned – in five innings of work. He scattered six hits while walking two and fanning six.

Like their Triple-A counterparts, the RoughRiders were kept off the board while recording no extra-base hits.

Shortstop Elvis Andrus (1/3, BB) was the only Frisco player to reach base multiple times.

Right-hander Brennan Garr came off the disabled list and allowed one run in one inning of work.

Zach Phillips was yet another Rangers hurler that did not receive much support despite pitching well on Friday. The 21-year-old spread out seven hits over five innings, allowing just one run. He walked two and struck out four.

The Blaze offense scored just one run despite getting doubles from Renny Osuna (1/4, 2B), Chris Gradoville (1/4, 2B), Truan Mehl (1/3, 2B) and Mauro Gomez (1/3, 2B).

Reliever Dan Sattler allowed one unearned run in three innings. He fanned three without issuing a walk.

Blake Beavan made the best of his 45-pitch limit on Friday, as he pitched four shutout innings. The former first round pick held Cedar Rapids to just two singles. He struck out three.

First baseman Justin Smoak had Clinton’s only RBI of the night. He was 3-for-4 with a double.

DH Mitch Moreland raised his batting average to .323 with two singles in four at-bats.

Reliever Jorge Quintero picked up his seventh win of the year after he gave up one run in four frames.

Fabio Castillo earned his fourth save after he tossed a scoreless ninth inning.

Wilfredo Boscan dealt perhaps his best start of the year on Friday, pitching seven strong innings. The 18-year-old surrendered one run on four hits, walking none and striking out four.

Centerfielder David Paisano had a huge night offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three runs batted in. His three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning gave Spokane their final lead of the night.

Dennis Guinn (1/4, 2B) also doubled while Jake Kaase (2/4) had two base knocks.

Relievers Dustin Brader and Corey Young both pitched shutout frames to finish off yet another Spokane victory.
