Zack Parker (3.38 ERA/.257 BAA) held his former team scoreless for six innings, giving up three hits and a walk. The left-hander struck out six batters.

Second baseman Jose Vallejo (3/5, 2B) and first baseman Dustin Majewski (1/3, 2B, 2 BB) both doubled.

Julio Borbon, Steve Murphy, Craig Gentry and Manny Pina all singled twice.

Relief prospects Beau Jones and Andrew Laughter both struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning.

Cristian Santana (.242/.308/.415) had a big night, going 3-for-3 with a home run and a walk. His two-run homer won the game for the L-Kings in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Catcher Carlos Dominguez (3/4) singled three times while Tim Smith (2/4, 2B) singled and doubled.

First baseman Mitch Moreland singled and walked twice.

Jonathan Ortiz (1.71 ERA/.157 BAA) recorded three groundouts in a perfect ninth inning en route to his third save.

Wilfredo Boscan (2.23 ERA/.235 BAA) picked up his seventh win after pitching five scoreless frames. He struck out five without walking a batter. Boscan has 48 strikeouts against just eight walks in 48.1 innings this season.

Third baseman Matt West (.289/.403/.386) was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and three runs batted in.

Right fielder Eric Fry (2/3, 2B) doubled once and walked twice.

Mike Bianucci (2/2, 3 BB) and Dennis Guinn (1/2, 3 BB) both drew three walks.

Southpaw Corey Young (3.50 ERA/.194 BAA) struck out two batters in a scoreless inning. He has held left-handed hitters to a .080 batting average this season.

The Rangers pounded out 15 runs on 16 hits on Thursday morning.

Catcher Tomas Telis (.311/.386/.404) led the team with four singles in five at-bats. He is batting .477 [21-for-44] over his last 10 games.

Shortstop Junior Payano entered the game with just four extra-base hits on the season, but he went 3-for-5 with a double and a solo home run on Thursday.

RF Juan Polanco (3/6, 2B) and 1B Jhonny Gomez (1/5, 2B, BB) both doubled.

Slumping starter Ezequiel Rijo walked six batters in two innings pitched, leading to three runs.

Pepe Sibid was the most effective Rangers pitcher, as he threw two shutout innings, recording three punchouts.

Third baseman Emmanuel Solis (3/5) singled three times and drove in three runs.
