The Spokane Indians won their fourth consecutive game on Sunday behind another strong effort from Wilfredo Boscan. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

AAA: Oklahoma 5 – Iowa 12
L – Rowe (3-4)


Steven Rowe (4.45 ERA/.309 BAA) gave up five runs – coming on three homers – in five innings on Sunday. He walked three and didn’t strike a batter out.

Second baseman Ryan Roberts led the way, going 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.

John Mayberry (1/4, 2B) also doubled while Drew Meyer (2/4, 3B) tripled.

Left-hander Bill White struck out one in a scoreless inning.

Left fielder Ben Harrison (.322/.397/.570) was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run. The round-tripper was his 15th of the season.

Steve Murphy (2/4, HR) also went yard.

Centerfielder Julio Borbon (3/5, 3B) tripled and Corey Ragsdale (2/4, 2B) doubled.

Elvis Andrus singled twice and stole three bases, giving him 30 on the year.

Michael Schlact surrendered six runs on nine hits in six innings. He struck out three without issuing a walk.

Right-handed reliever J.B. Diaz fanned four in two perfect frames.

Zach Phillips got his record back up to .500 with a solid six inning outing on Sunday.

In those six frames, the southpaw yielded two runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out two.

Phillips’ sinker was particularly effective in the start, as he posted a 12:2 groundout-to-flyout ratio.

Marcus Lemon (1/2, 2B, 3 BB), Grant Gerrard (1/4, 2B, BB) and Ian Gac (2/4, 2B) all doubled.

DH Chad Tracy (2/5, 2B, HR) doubled and homered.

Second baseman Renny Osuna singled twice in five at-bats.

Kennil Gomez (2.97 ERA/.232 BAA) limited Burlington to one run on seven hits in five innings. He struck out five while walking two.

Right fielder Miguel Alfonzo was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. It was his third straight game with at least one extra-base hit. Alfonzo entered the streak with only four extra-base hits all season.

First baseman Mitch Moreland (2/5, HR) also hit a home run.

Jonathan Greene (1/3, 2B, HBP) and Andres James (1/4, 2B) both doubled.

Left-hander Joseph Ortiz earned his first professional hold with two hitless innings of work. He walked one and struck out one. Ortiz has yet to allow a hit in six innings with Single-A Clinton.

Wilfredo Boscan (1.90 ERA/.227 BAA) has pitched in five games this season and he’s earned a victory in all five.

The 18-year-old lasted a season-high six innings on Sunday, allowing only two unearned runs. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Second baseman Jason Ogata (1/4, HR) gave Boscan a nice early cushion with a three-run homer in the second inning. It was Ogata’s first professional round-tripper.

David Paisano (1/2, HR, 2 BB) and Doug Hogan (1/4, HR) both added solo shots.

Shortstop Ed Koncel was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.

Third round pick Tim Murphy surrendered one run on two hits in three innings. He punched out three.

With Michael Main’s recent assignment to Single-A Clinton, it would appear that Glenn Swanson may also be nearing a full-season assignment.

The left-hander, who is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, hurled four hitless innings on Sunday afternoon. He walked one and struck out four.

Cleanup hitter Erik Morrison was 2-for-5 with his first two professional home runs.

Leadoff man Adam Cobb was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two stolen bases.
