Triple-A Oklahoma pitcher Dustin Nippert fired the second no-hitter in the Rangers' system this season. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of Sunday's minor league action.

Dustin Nippert (3.98 ERA/.271 BAA) opened Sunday's double dip with the second seven inning no-hitter in the Rangers' system this season.

Nippert walked two and struck out five. He threw 86 pitches.

Left-hander Matt Harrison, who is now a teammate of Nippert's, threw a seven inning no-no with Double-A Frisco earlier in the season.

John Mayberry (1/2, 2B, BB) and Travis Metcalf (1/3, 2B) both doubled while leadoff hitter Joaquin Arias singled twice in three at-bats.

Steven Rowe gave up seven runs – just two earned – in 3.1 innings during Sunday's nightcap.

Right fielder Nelson Cruz (.352/.453/.705) was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

Nate Gold extended his hitting streak to six games with a single and a double in four at-bats.

John Mayberry (1/4, 2B) and Drew Meyer (1/3, 2B, BB) also doubled.

Brandon Puffer pitched in his first Triple-A game since 2006 and threw a scoreless inning, allowing one hit.

Dustin Majewski was named Texas League Player of the Week after his game on Sunday evening. The left fielder was 2-for-5 with a home run, his third in four nights.

Starting pitcher Mike Ballard went five innings, giving up three runs on three hits. He walked three and struck out five.

Steve Murphy (1/2, 2B, 2 BB) and Jose Vallejo (2/3, 2B) both doubled.

Centerfielder Julio Borbon singled once and stole a base in his first Double-A game.

Shortstop Elvis Andrus (1/3) stole two bases – including home – to give him 26 on the season.

Reliever Joselo Diaz earned his fourth save after giving up one run in three innings of work. He struck out two while issuing one walk.

Cleanup hitter Ian Gac may just add the power that Bakersfield has been missing for the majority of the season. The first baseman was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer on Sunday.

New leadoff hitter Marcus Lemon (.294/.408/.408) was 2-for-5 with a solo homer, his third of the season.

Renny Osuna (2/5), Grant Gerrard (2/4) and Truan Mehl (2/4) all singled twice.

Starter Jared Hyatt surrendered five runs on eight hits in four innings. He walked three and struck out two.

John Bannister returned from the disabled list and yielded one run in 2 1/3 frames. He fanned one.

Starter Blake Beavan (3.16 ERA/.252 BAA) allowed three runs on five hits – including two home runs – in five innings. He walked one and struck out five.

Third baseman Jonathan Greene (.230/.345/.406) was 1-for-4 with a home run. It was his second round-tripper in as many days.

Tim Smith also hit a solo home run. He was 2-for-4 on the afternoon.

Engel Beltre (1/3, BB) and Andres James (1/3, BB) had Clinton's other two hits. Beltre and James entered the game with 10 combined walks on the season, but they both drew free passes on Sunday.

Young lefty Joseph Ortiz didn't allow a run or a hit in 1.1 innings. He walked one and did not record a strikeout.

The Indians recorded an impressive 13-inning shutout of Tri-City on Sunday night.

Florida Gulf Coast product Richard Bleier gave up only one single in five shutout innings. He walked one, struck out six, and posted an 11:3 groundout-to-flyout ratio.

DH Joey Butler (.485/.553/.697) was 3-for-6 with a double and the game's lone run batted in.

Matt West (2/5, 2B) and Ed Koncel (1/4, 2B, BB) had the team's other extra-base hits.

Relievers Dustin Brader (2 IP), Corey Young (3 IP) and Ryan Schlecht (3 IP) helped to complete the shutout. Schlecht fanned six in his three frames.

Michael Main went five innings, giving up three runs. He allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out seven.

Red hot first baseman Alberto Puello was 2-for-3 with a triple and a base on balls. Puello is 9 for his first 20 with three walks and two strikeouts.

Leadoff hitter Adam Cobb doubled and tripled in five at-bats.

Johan Yan (2/4, 2B) and Chris Dove (1/2, 2B, 2 BB) both doubled.

Relief pitchers Ovispo De Los Santos (1 IP), Tanner Roark (2 IP) and Cody Eppley (1 IP) completed the victory with shutout ball.
