Pitching prospects Matt Harrison and Tommy Hunter each chipped in with eight strong innings on Saturday evening. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.
AAA: Oklahoma 8 – Round Rock 2
W – Harrison (2-1)
HR – Mayberry (9)
Matt Harrison
(4.00 ERA/.277 BAA in 27 Triple-A innings) went eight frames for the second time in as many starts. The left-hander, who threw 110 pitches, allowed two runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out five.
Left fielder
John Mayberry
fell a triple short of the cycle, as he was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run.
DH
Chris Davis
was 3-for-4 with an opposite-field triple and a walk.
Right fielder
Nelson Cruz
was just 1-for-4 with a double, but he knocked in three runs.
Rehabbing first baseman
Hank Blalock
(2/3) and his late-inning replacement,
Nate Gold
(2/2), both singled twice.
Former Ranger hurler Nick Regilio appeared for the Express and tossed two scoreless innings.

Tommy Hunter
’s (4.27 ERA/.282 BAA) was nearly identical to Matt Harrison’s in Triple-A. The right-hander went eight innings, throwing 112 pitches, and gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits. Hunter walked two and struck out four.

Ben Harrison
had Frisco’s only extra-base hit of the game. He was 2-for-4 with a double. Harrison also had a steal of home – it was his 14th steal of the season.
Adam Fox

(2/4) both singled twice while
Dustin Majewski
singled and walked.

With the game time temperature at 104 degrees, Bakersfield starter
Omar Poveda
came out firing with three scoreless innings. But he would allow seven total runs in the next two, leaving him with seven runs – five earned – surrendered in five innings. Poveda struck out seven without walking a batter.
Shortstop
Marcus Lemon
(.304/.421/.408) had a huge day, going a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate with a pair of runs batted in.
J.T. Restko
(2/5) singled twice while
John Whittleman
(1/2, 2 BB) singled and walked twice.

Wilfredo Boscan
(2.57 ERA/.280 BAA) was impressive in his first start of the season, giving up two runs – one earned – over five innings of work. The righty allowed four hits, walked one, and struck out four.
He posted a solid 7:2 groundout-to-flyout ratio on Saturday. Boscan had an extremely impressive 3.76:1 ratio with the DSL Rangers last summer.
Centerfielder
David Paisano
was 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the fourth inning.
Right fielder
Joey Butler
(2/3, BB) singled twice and drew a free pass.
Yoon-Hee Nam
(3 IP) and
Ryan Schlecht
(1 IP) tossed scoreless ball out of the bullpen.
