Neftali Feliz
surrendered his first earned run since April 21, but he was still more than solid. The 20-year-old prospect allowed only one run on three hits in six innings, punching out six without walking a batter.
Ever since he issued five walks in two-thirds of an inning on April 12, Feliz has walked just nine in 36.1 frames.
The L-Kings beat Angels prospect and Metroplex native Jordan Walden, though they didn’t hit him particularly hard.
First baseman
Mitch Moreland
had the big blow off Walden with a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning. It was his only hit of the day.
Shortstop
Andres James
singled twice while DH
Tim Smith
singled and drove in a pair of runs.
