The Clinton LumberKings mashed their way to an easy victory over Lansing on Friday night. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

A.J. Murray allowed only one unearned run in six innings of work on Friday night. He gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out five.

Catcher Kevin Richardson (.292/.370/.500) was the only RedHawk with two hits, as he went 2-for-3 with a double.

First baseman Chris Shelton and DH Kevin Mench each doubled and walked.

Reliever Kameron Loe (5.79 ERA/.333 BAA) allowed one run on three hits in 1.1 innings.

Berkery hit his first home run.
Things got out of hand for the ‘Riders in a hurry, as they allowed 10 runs in the game’s first five innings.

Starting pitcher Jake Dittler coughed up five runs in three innings while Dan Touchet (1 IP, 3 ER, 4 BB) didn’t fare any better.

Dustin Majewski (1/4) and Thomas Berkery (2/4) – the team’s eight and nine hitters – hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning.

Max Ramirez and Emerson Frostad each singled twice in three official at-bats.

Steve Murphy and John Mayberry both doubled.

Diaz has been excellent this season.
Zach Phillips fanned the first two hitters of the game, but things unraveled in a hurry for the southpaw.

Phillips didn’t retire a batter for the rest of his outing, giving up 10 first inning runs. He was knocked around for seven hits while walking two. The outing is sure to put a rather sizeable dent on his ERA for the rest of the season.

Second baseman Jose Vallejo (.344/.390/.473) went 4-for-6 with two RBI and his ninth stolen base of the year.

The relief work of J.B. Diaz (1.13 ERA/.230 BAA) helped the Blaze get back within striking distance. He yielded just one unearned run in 4.1 innings.

Chad Tracy (2/4, BB), K.C. Herren (3/4, BB), and Marcus Lemon (2/4, BB) also chipped in with multiple hits.

All of Bakersfield’s 15 hits were singles.

Kennil Gomez (1.57 ERA/.185 BAA) earned his third win of the season by hurling six scoreless innings. He gave up four hits, walked one and fanned four.

Gomez flashed an 88-91 mph sinker on Friday.
First baseman Ian Gac (.443/.512/.929) is still showing no signs of slowing down. He was a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run and a walk. Gac’s home run was a monster shot that cleared the scoreboard in left field. He extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

Left fielder Cristian Santana (.305/.388/.542) was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, and a walk. Santana’s home run – a line-drive shot – also cleared the left field scoreboard.

Tim Smith (.323/.392/.468) doubled twice and tripled once in five at-bats. He drove in four runs.

Renny Osuna (1/3, 2 BB), Mitch Moreland (1/4, 2B, BB) and Matt Lawson (3/5) also had strong efforts.
