Saturday night was busy in the Rangers organization, as a very intriguing prospect took the mound at each level, from Triple-A to the Rookie League. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

AAA: Oklahoma 1 – Iowa 12

Eric Hurley took a shutout into the sixth inning, but he surrendered four runs in the top of the sixth and ended up losing his sixth game in eight Triple-A decisions.

The top prospect gave up eight hits while walking two and striking out five.

Left fielder Victor Diaz singled twice while second baseman Desi Relaford was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Michael Schlact’s second Double-A start was nearly as successful as his first. The tall righty tossed 6 2/3 innings, surrendering two runs on seven hits. He walked none and struck out five.

Chris Davis (.389/.465/.861) went 2-for-3 with a walk and his second home run in as many nights. It was Davis’ sixth walk in 11 Double-A contests.

Taylor Teagarden was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and a base on balls.

First baseman Emerson Frostad (1/3, BB) and LF Anthony Webster (1/4) also hit home runs.

Reliever Danny Herrera struck out two in 1 2/3 scoreless innings.

John Whittleman was just 1-for-4, but he smashed his first home run since joining the Blaze, a three-run shot in the first inning.

Shortstop Elvis Andrus singled three times in four trips to raise his Bakersfield average to .324.

Left-hander Mike Ballard (4.83 ERA/.282 BAA) turned in his third consecutive solid start. He gave up one run on five hits in 6 2/3 innings, issuing zero walks and fanning four.

Ben Harrison went 0-for-4 and saw his average drop to .196 with the Blaze. He is 3-for-34 with 16 strikeouts on the month of August.

Kasey Kiker scattered eight hits through five innings, giving up two earned runs. He walked two and struck out six.

Shortstop Marcus Lemon (2/4, 2B) and second baseman Jose Vallejo (2/3, 2B, BB) each singled and doubles in the game.

Mauro Gomez and K.C. Herren also doubled for their lone knock of the game.

Righties Jon Hollis and Ivan Izquierdo hurled two scoreless innings to preserve the victory.

Despite a 23-28 record, the Indians reclaimed first place after Saturday night’s victory.

Starting pitcher Fabio Castillo was decent, as he allowed three runs in five innings of work. The big right-hander yielded six hits while walking two and punching out two.

DH Mitch Moreland was 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run, his second.

CF Luke Salas (2/3, 2B, BB), RF Tim Rodriguez (1/4, 2B), and 1B Ian Gac (1/4, 2B) also had extra-base hits.

Dan Sattler and Tommy Hunter each tossed two hitless innings of relief.
