The Spokane Indians picked up their first win of the season on Thursday while the Clinton LumberKings recorded a five-inning shutout in their first game of the second half. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

Right fielder Nelson Cruz (.333/.431/.857) two home runs on Thursday, giving him six long balls in just 42 at-bats at Triple-A Oklahoma.

Starting pitcher John Koronka surrendered three home runs in just 5 1/3 innings. He allowed five runs on six hits in total.

Reliever Scott Feldman shined out of the bullpen, yielding just one hit in two scoreless innings. The sinkerballing righty walked one and struck out three.

Second baseman German Duran and centerfielder Brandon Boggs top Astros top prospect Troy Patton back-to-back in the top of the fifth inning.

Duran, who was 2-for-5, hit his 14th home run of the season. He raised his batting average to .327.

Boggs, who is now hitting .277 since his promotion to Double-A, smacked his ninth home run. The Georgia Tech product also singled and walked twice.

Every player in the Frisco lineup had at least one hit.

Third baseman Micah Furtado, who was appearing in his first Double-A game, singled and walked in two plate appearances.

Armando Galarraga was roughed up for nine runs on 10 hits in just 2 1/3 innings. The Venezuelan walked three and struck out four.

Bakersfield's Andy Walker was a hard-luck loser on Thursday night. The right-hander surrendered just one earned run on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out three.

Right fielder Jon Weber was 2-for-4 with a double while backstop Hunter Harrigan smashed his second home run of the season.

DH Taylor Teagarden was 0-for-3 with a walk, dropping his average to .308. The native Texan is hitting just .194 over his last 10 contests.

Ryan Knippschild (1.1 IP), Josh Giles (1 IP), and Kevin Altman (1 IP) all combined for scoreless relief.

The L-Kings won a rain-shortened five-inning affair on Thursday night.

Starting pitcher Michael Ballard (3.93 ERA/.283 BAA) gets credit for the complete game shutout after tossing five scoreless innings. The southpaw allowed four hits, walked none, and fanned five.

Left fielder had the game's big blow, a two-RBI double to the left-center field gap in the bottom of the fourth inning.

David Paisano also stole two bases, including home. Paisano swiped home when Kane County starter Andrew Bailey made a pickoff throw to first base in the bottom of the fifth.

Jose Vallejo singled twice while Marcus Lemon singled and walked.

The Indians won their first game of the season on Thursday behind a strong pitching performance from 19-year-old Jacob Brigham.

In five innings of work, Brigham allowed just one unearned run on two hits. The native of Florida walked two and struck out four.

First baseman Renny Osuna was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Centerfielder Kyle Murphy and catcher Chris Gradoville were each 1-for-2 with a single and a walk.

Right-handed pitchers Ryan Falcon (2 IP), Ryan Tatusko (1 IP), and Chris Dennis (1 IP) all allowed no runs on one hit and no walks. Falcon fanned three while Tatusko and Dennis punched out one apiece.
