Rangers Week In Pictures

After leaving Pittsburgh losers of two out of three, the Rangers returned the favor to the Cincinnati Reds in their home park. Lone Star Dugout takes a pictorial look back at the past week of Texas Rangers baseball.

Kevin Millwood collects a new ball as Xavier Nady rounds the bases in the background following a solo homerun. The righty scuffled through yet another start last Tuesday against Pittsburgh, allowing six runs - five earned - on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. Millwood's next start, however, went much more according to plan and he was able to pick up his first win in more than two months.

Caught in a rundown, Marlon Byrd heads back to first to try and avoid the tag. He collected two hits in the only victory of the series against Pittsburgh.


Kameron Loe warms up inbetween innings on Thursday evening in Pittsburgh. Loe was recalled from Triple-A to make the start for the injured Brandon McCarthy, and performed quite admirably, throwing eight innings of scoreless ball while only allowing five hits.


Brad Wilkerson turns to tag out Aaron Harang following a sacrifice bunt in the second inning Saturday night in Cincinnati. Since returning to the lineup to play first base, Wilkerson has just three hits and one RBI in 27 at-bats.


Michael Young tags out Josh Hamilton on a steal attempt in the secnod inning of Friday night's ballgame.


Adam Melhuse slides home safetly while Reds catcher Javier Valentin bobbles the ball in the ninth inning on Sunday afternoon. In the game, Melhuse combined with Marlon Byrd and Kenny Lofton for seven hits and seven RBI in an 11-4 victory.


Sammy Sosa cools off in the dugout on Sunday afternoon. His 599th homerun of his career on Friday evening came in the form of a grand slam that put the Rangers ahead in the game for good.
