Clinton southpaw Kasey Kiker pitched extremely well for the L-Kings on Saturday while Bakersfield catcher Taylor Teagarden doubled and homered. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

Pitcher Chris Baker returned to the Oklahoma rotation on Saturday. He allowed six runs – five earned – on eight hits in six innings. Baker struck out three and didn’t issue a walk.

Third baseman Desi Relaford (.268/.366/.432) was 2-for-3 with a double and a free pass.

Centerfielder Kevin Mahar (.298/.336/.446) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Second baseman Tug Hulett fell deeper into his long slump with another hitless night, going 0-for-5 this time. The Auburn product, who is 9-for-65 in June, saw his average dip to .246.

Armando Galarraga turned in his second consecutive strong start on Saturday, as he allowed just one run on five hits in six innings. The native of Venezuela struck out five without issuing a walk.

Left fielder Steve Murphy (3/5), centerfielder Brandon Boggs (1/4, BB), and DH Salomon Manriquez (1/4, BB) each hit a home run.

Shortstop Casey Benjamin (2/5, 3B), second baseman German Duran (2/5, 2B), and catcher Kevin Richardson (2/5, 2B) all had two hits.

Reliever Kea Kometani allowed no run s on no hits in 1 1/3 innings. He walked one and fanned two.

Starter Bear Bay surrendered three runs on nine hits in five innings, walking two and fanning four.

Starting pitcher Kasey Kiker (2.33 ERA/.229 BAA) was impressive once again, as he allowed just one run in five innings on Saturday evening. He scattered eight hits while walking just one and striking out seven.

Kiker, who struggled to hold baserunners last season with short-season Spokane, picked off two runners in the game.

Left fielder Chad Tracy and first baseman Mauro Gomez each went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Second baseman Jose Vallejo singled, walked, and stole his 18th base of the year.
