The Texas Rangers have come to terms on a Minor League contract with outfielder Sammy Sosa. The two parties had originally agreed in principle two weeks ago, but the deal had not been finalized.
Sosa, who has 588 career home runs, is looking to revitalize his career after sitting out for the 2006 campaign. He will receive a non-roster invitation to spring training with the contract.
The Rangers have announced a press conference to introduce Sosa for Tuesday at 1 p.m. Central.
