The Texas Rangers signed 32-year-old right-handed pitcher Jamey Wright to a minor league contract on Thursday. The veteran also received an invitation to spring training.
Wright, who has pitched for five different teams over his 11-year Major League career, has a career record of 67-98 with a 5.14 ERA. He made a brief stint with the Rangers organization in 2003, making seven starts with Triple-A Oklahoma before being released. The native of Oklahoma City was 6-10 with a 5.19 ERA in 34 games with the San Francisco Giants in 2006.
