Alberto had a three-hit game
Right-handed pitcher Ben Henry got the starting nod for the Surprise Saguaros on Thursday while shortstop Hanser Alberto singled three times in four at-bats. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action in the Texas Rangers' system.

On Thursday, the Surprise Saguaros removed right-hander Joe Van Meter from their roster and added Ben Henry. Henry got the start and threw two scoreless, hitless innings. He worked around three walks and struck out one.
The 23-year-old Henry, who missed the end of the regular season with an injury, got back on the mound during the last few days at fall instructional league. He scuffled with command on Thursday, throwing just 18 of his 38 pitches for a strike.
Submarining righty Ben Rowen followed Henry and was tagged for three runs (two earned) in two innings. Ryan Rodebaugh worked two shutout frames to finish the contest. He worked around two hits and struck out a pair.
Shortstop Hanser Alberto had three singles in four at-bats. He also stole his second base and committed his second fielding error.
Through nine Fall League games, the 20-year-old Alberto is 9-for-29 (.310) with a triple, two walks, and three strikeouts. He has stolen two bases in four attempts.
Dominican Winter League
All three of the scheduled games in the Dominican Republic were postponed due to rain.
Venezuelan Winter League
Pitching for the second consecutive day, left-hander Joe Ortiz threw 10 of his 12 pitches for a strike in a scoreless eighth inning. The reliever earned the hold while working around one hit and striking out two.
The 22-year-old Ortiz has the following stat-line in seven winterball appearances––5.1 ip, 5 h, 3 er, 3 bb, 6 k.
Liga Paralela (Venezuela Minor League)
Although the Liga Paralela schedule indicates that games were played on Thursday, the box scores have not been posted.
Mexican Pacific League
After getting out to a fast start in Mexico, Mazatlan right fielder has now gone hitless in three consecutive games. He was 0-for-4 with a strikeout and a walk on Thursday, dropping him to 4-for-21 (.190) in six contests.
Butler also stole a base, was caught stealing once, and he picked up an outfield assist by gunning down a runner at third base.
Puerto Rican Winter League
