Lone Star Dugout Announcement
I'd like to offer my sincere apologies for the roller coaster that has taken place on LoneStarDugout.com and the entire Scout.com Network over the past week. As you may know, we began our planned migration to the new FOX Sports Next platform and software late last week. Unfortunately, we were unable to seamlessly transfer accounts and stabilize the technical problems in a timely fashion. This made things inconvenient for all users, and for that, we apologize.
Because of the multitude of issues, we will be returning to the familiar Scout.com platform for the time being. There isn't currently a timetable as to when we'll eventually move to the (hopefully more seamless) FOX Sports Next platform, but I'd expect that it will be at least a few months from now. We will be sure to inform you when we learn more about the future.
I recently spent more than a week covering the Texas Rangers' fall instructional league in Arizona, where I was able to gather prospect videos, interviews, and general scouting reports. In anticipation of the FOX Sports Next launch, I opted to hold back much of that coverage in order to release it with the new platform. Unfortunately, the issues have led to the content being delayed even further.
As you can tell, we've returned to the business-as-usual Scout.com platform, and things have begun to stabilize once again. While I apologize for the delay this ordeal has caused, I will be posting all fall instructional league (plus Arizona Fall League and winterball) content over the next week.
You can also look forward to seeing other scouting-based feature articles in the near future, including a look at the top tools in the Texas Rangers' system and an overlook at the organization's top 50 prospects.
Once again, I would like to extend my sincere apologies for the myriad of issues that have occurred over the last week. We're doing our best to make sure that the eventual change, whenever that may be, will be seamless for both myself and all users.
