2012 Rangers Instructional League Roster

Beras will play in games at instructs

The Texas Rangers have announced their roster and game schedule for the 2012 Fall Instructional League, which begins on September 16. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at the 61 young prospects that will descend upon Surprise.

The Texas Rangers are sending 44 of their top young prospects to Surprise, Ariz., where they will participate in the Fall Instructional League. The circuit features a 15-game schedule, with games kicking off on September 19 and concluding on October 13. Players will begin workouts at the club's minor league facility in Surprise on September 16.

During the month-long camp, the Rangers will play games against instructs squads from the Indians, Dodgers, White Sox, Royals, and Reds. They also have four games scheduled against South Korea's SK Wyverns, who won Korean Series titles in 2007, 2008, and 2010. The Wyverns will presumably send a group of young players to the instructional league in Arizona.

In addition to the regular instructional league, a number of clubs based in Phoenix's West Valley will once again form the Advanced Instructional League. The AIL will play an 18-game schedule, with games beginning on September 19 and concluding with a championship game––played at the stadium of the club with the best record––on October 13.

The Rangers are sending 17 prospects to the advanced league. They are denoted on the roster by an asterisk.

A complete listing of the Rangers' 2012 Instructional League roster and game schedules are shown below.
