Video: Neil Ramirez vs. Omaha (4/17)
Neil Ramirez turned in a solid six-inning performance against the Omaha Storm Chasers on Tuesday. Throwing 55 of his 79 pitches for strikes, the 22-year-old righty yielded four hits and struck out four without issuing a walk. He also induced 10 groundouts and only two flyouts in the start.
The former first-round pick threw his fastball anywhere between 90-95 mph in the outing, often sitting between 91-93 and bumping it up when necessary. He also mixed in a 74-79 mph curveball and an 84-86 mph changeup.
A full interview and scouting report of Ramirez will be posted on Thursday, and when that is done, it will also be linked with this video.
