Margarita shortstop Alberto Gonzalez (.256/.315/.390) moved to seventh in the batting order and responded with three singles in four trips. The 28-year-old infielder, who spent the entire 2011 season in the major leagues, had been hitless in his last three contests.

La Guaira infielder Renny Osuna entered the game as a pinch runner in the seventh inning and scored a run but didn’t get a plate appearance. He also played at third base.

Guilder Rodriguez also saw action as a pinch runner and also didn’t get an at-bat.

Second baseman Yangervis Solarte (.306/.352/.388) was hitless in three trips for Aragua and also committed his second error in 26 games this winter.
